Can you use a regular mattress on an adjustable base?
As a general rule using a regular mattress on an adjustable base is not recommended. Standard mattresses are not designed to work with the adjustable bed’s movements. A traditional mattress is typically designed to remain flat and stationary. It probably will not have the flexibility and durability needed to adjust along with the bed’s movements. This is especially true of conventional innerspring mattresses. Adjustable bases will ruin a mattress of this type and could ultimately damage the adjustable base too.
To ensure that you get the proper support and comfort while using an adjustable bed, it’s important to use a mattress that is specifically designed to work with the bed’s movements. All foam designs and foam encased regular mattresses can be used on an adjustable base. At Lebeda we are the factory so we don’t have these limitations! We can modify most of our innerspring offerings so they work with an adjustable base’s movements.
