Do I need to buy a boxspring?
More often than not, yes. One exception is if you have a newer boxspring (Less than 3yrs old) that is in excellent shape and is the same style that the mattress you are purchasing is designed to work with. If these criteria are not met, Lebeda recommends that you purchase the set instead of just the mattress.
Some bedframes are pedestals and claim that a boxspring is not necessary. This can be true if the top of the pedestal is a flat, continuous surface. If it is a series of slats with spaces between them, Lebeda would encourage you to get low profile boxspring or bunkie board. Contact your local Lebeda store for more information.
